Presentation abstract:

As artificial intelligence infrastructure rapidly scales, data centers face critical bottlenecks in interconnect bandwidth and energy efficiency. To overcome these challenges, Indium Phosphide (InP) lasers have become indispensable components for robust communication networks.
Beyond supplying high-power lasers to power Silicon Photonics, InP uniquely provides highly scalable solutions for photonic integrated circuits. It enables the monolithic integration of high-speed modulators, lasers, and passive waveguides directly onto a single native platform. This inherent advantage significantly reduces system complexity, minimizes coupling losses, and elevates overall optical performance.
As a pure-play InP foundry, SMART Photonics has developed a mature, reliable integration platform that transforms these material advantages into commercially scalable, high-performance optical components. Whether utilized in a fully monolithic architecture or heterogeneously integrated alongside Silicon Photonics, this proven platform directly supports both datacom and telecom requirements.
Ultimately, by delivering superior laser power and high-speed modulation, Indium Phosphide serves as the critical catalyst accelerating the deployment of sustainable, energy-efficient, and fully scalable AI data center infrastructure.
